EXEMPTION LETTER
Thank you for trusting the House of Kasey. Welcome to our big family! Our motto, "Lovin’ your pet like you do," is our goal. We hope you and your excellent pets find us the best place for fun and care in Hong Kong!
We promise to provide all our services to you and your pets!
To prevent misunderstandings and avoid unwanted disputes between you and us, we kindly ask you to consider the following matters that may occur, despite our best efforts, while you or your pets use our services. We cannot take responsibility for these circumstances unless caused by our own mistakes or negligence.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION SERVICE
A sudden change in your pet's environment or routine, like moving homes or bad weather, can lead to separation anxiety. This may cause illness (like heart problems, stomach issues, or loss of appetite) or destructive behaviours (like self-harm, escaping, chewing, or swallowing household items). Such behaviours can lead to injuries.
If two pets are in the same room (only if you allow it), they might fight over food and toys, which could lead to injuries.
Your pets might fight with others while playing, which can lead to injuries like broken bones, dislocated joints, or damage to ligaments and feet. These injuries can also happen from their movements during activities.
If your pets have a bottomless stomach, they might experience bloating after meals or drinks. Bloating can be life-threatening.
Your pets could get heat stroke, especially if they have thick fur, a flat nose, are overweight, or are old.
Your pets could get fleas if they don't get regular anti-flea treatments.
Pets over 8 years old might be at higher risk of having a stroke.
Regular baths and grooming are essential for your pets to avoid skin issues and tangled fur. We suggest bathing your pet and grooming every 7-10 days.
Our home is specially designed for your pets, and we believe they will love staying with us. When they return home, they might feel sad about leaving us for a little while (like not wanting to eat).
PICK UP and DROP OFF SERVICE
When using our pick-up and drop-off service, pets may feel anxious and think they are being taken to unfamiliar places or abandoned, leading to destructive behaviour like chewing their cage. Some pets might also overreact, risking heat stroke or heart issues, especially those with thick fur, flat noses, overweight, or older.
Moving your pets in and out of cages can cause them to resist, leading to injuries like broken bones, joint dislocations, slipped discs, and knee or foot injuries.
If your pets eat less than two hours before we pick them up, they might have trouble digesting or vomiting.
Your beloved pets may find ways to escape when left unattended, wandering off into the great unknown.
GROOMING SERVICE
Your pets might get anxious, leading to injuries like broken bones, dislocated joints, and problems with their knees or back. They could also suffer from heatstroke or heart attacks, especially if they have thick fur, flat noses, are overweight, or older.
Your beloved pets might be experiencing allergies due to the grooming service tools that are used during their pampering sessions.
Sometimes pets have hidden health issues, such as: 1) problems with organs like the heart, liver, kidneys, and pancreas; 2) hidden infections like Tick Fever (Babesia & Ehrlichia); and 3) hidden Heartworm Disease. These issues can't be detected without thorough medical checks. We recommend regular health check-ups for your pets. Because of these hidden problems, pets may suddenly become ill, and we can't take responsibility for that.
Please don't worry. We want you to know that while we strive to keep your pets safe, unexpected incidents can happen that are beyond our control. If we notice any issues, like aggressive behavior, we'll immediately stop activities (please note that no refunds will be given). If your pet needs medication, we'll follow the service agreement. As we mentioned at the start, we'll do our best to prevent accidents and uphold our promise!
