Boarding Pick-Up & Drop-Off

A Guide for Pet Caregivers

The boarding request service notes, which are available to view prior to requesting the service, indicate whether you will need to pick up and drop off a pet.

If pick-up and drop-off were agreed upon in the service request, Pet Caregivers will be responsible for providing adequate transportation to and from the Pet Parent’s home. This additional service comes with an additional payout to Caregivers.

Pet Parents who have not specifically selected you to pick up and drop off their pet will be responsible for transportation and will coordinate the hand-off of their pet.

Home Access

If access to the Pet Parent's home is needed, follow the instructions provided by the Pet Parent, such as where to find keys or access codes. Be sure to reach out to the Pet Parent promptly through the app if any issues arise.

Pet Parent Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Even when the Pet Parent is dropping off their pet at your home, communication will be key! As the Pet Parent will not be familiar with your home, it can be helpful to include any information they need to know for arrival, such as finding your home, parking, and anything else that might help for a smooth drop-off.

Some of your home information can be updated in your profile!

Some Pet Caregivers have found success sending a photo or video and a quick update of their pet shortly after drop-off. This lets Pet Parents know how their pet(s) are settling in. It’s not easy for everyone to part ways, even temporarily, but a little encouragement and reassurance can go a long way, sometimes for both the pet and their Pet Parent alike!

Note: The app does not provide your address to the Pet Parent. It is the responsibility of the Pet Caregiver to provide the Pet Parent with the service address.

When the Pet Parent is responsible for picking up their pet from your home, they will coordinate that with you within the 3-hour time frame they selected for the service.
